Maker of Rain

A river flowing down from the glacial peaks of the Rwenzori mountains, Africa's highest mountain range. Apparently the name translates into Rainmaker in a local dialect.

Plese view large.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts you may have.

My only critique is the plant on the left side is a bit of a distraction. I think it would be better if it were at the very edge of the frame. Other then that I like it.

Nice light and a primal feeling about it. Michael may be right about the tree on the left. Lovbely photo and technically very well done.

oozes darkness and rain ... like the place. the perpetual cloud, rain and flat light of the place apparently make it difficult to photograph. a friend waited three weeks before he could get some decent light and footage ...

What a wonderful composition! A richness of canopy layers...openings....and the river. I am only a little reluctant to embrace the tree on left...and wonder if the river rocks could be lightened to mute their strong contrast against the white water. A solid capture that conveys a wild raw terrain.
