A double rainbow in Inverpolly, Scotland

No found gold at the end of the rainbow except for the glorious light. Taken on as 1-2-1 with Ian C. I still can't believe the range of weather conditions we encountered here.

Canon 5DM2
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 at 24mm
ISO400 ISO 1/100sec F/8

Thanks for having a look.

Very nice sublteties , Eva - purplish flowers in the foreground and second rainbow, I really enjoyed watching the scene for some time (yes, starting with magical light) It appears Scotland and Isles have wealth of photographic opportunities, great job capturing.

Have you considered cropping to 4x5 (cutting roght vertical) , very subjective - but the balance of lines benefits from 4x5 format crop to me.

Beautiful, subtle simplicity here Eva. Love the lit hill. You probably could afford to lose some of the R.H. side to a 4x5 crop as suggested, but lovely as posted.

This one here kind of reminds me of your Nova Scotia stuff. Hard to beat a double rainbow in most any circumstance. I like the colors of the ground cover a lot here.

Thanks Chris. This part of Scotland surely reminded me of Nova Scotia too including the people we met (many inhabitants in Cape Breton, NS are descendents of people from Scotland's islands and west coast highlands (accent is surely the same). I'll be going back to Scotland at the end of May for more...... This time to the more remote areas of Sutherland and Caithness on another Transient Light WS with both digital and film cameras this time (I have done film for over 30 years before going digital. Ian let me use his spare Pentax 67ii when there and I loved it. Missing film I bought my own Pentax 67ii but I won't give up digital either. Can't wait to get back, but need to eat my Wheaties to carry all this stuff. :-). I missed Cape Breton last year but hope to return this autumn.

Beautiful light, Eva. I like the positioning of the fern in the FG.
