Dune close-up

Taken in Namibia Naukluft Park, with Nikon 14-24mm lens to make this different composition of dunes. It is very high dune but from this angle looks quite small. I changed in B&W, because it shows structure of the dune better and works good with clouds (which are quite rare for Namibia). Well, at least that is my opinion.

Mysterious looking and attractive image that might improve with less shadow on left which does not work for me. Good shot..

Feel like the composition is quite balanced. I might try cropping square eliminating the left side...think that would be way stronger. Impressive light and textures. Nice catch!!

Your black and white presentation here is very powerful. I love the graphic feel of the strong triangular dune, and the wonderful light on the foreground --- especially when set against the simple sky. Though I really like the way the dune is set off to the side, I do feel that the left side falls off a bit because of the downward slope. If you were to warp that up a little bit, I'm sure it would balance even more. Either that, or I could also see a square crop as Aaron suggested. In any case, this is a very powerful image because of its graphic simplicity.

Love the textures and mood to this. B&W works very well, and I really like how the textures in the foreground fade to total black to the left. Nicely done

Tremendous. The pattern in the foreground, the dark side of the dune, and the darkness of the sky at the top work together perfectly.
