Hi Sandy - I really like the comp and central detail here, but the glow and yellows lacking some detail puts me off some. I guess this is orton'ed a bit? In any case, I think I'd like to see it done a little straighter...

Hi, David - if you want "straight" from me, you'll need to look at my birds. I do BIRDS "straight".
I do FLOWERS and macro stuff more creatively, usually with several filters.
Always appreciate your thoughts, though..

Very artistic, Sandy, per your usual standards. I like the comp, BG, and entire presentation. As for detail in the flower center, that of course is a matter of taste and artistic interpretation. I also like the glow on the petals, although it would also be nice if the drops were a little more noticeable.

Filtered or unfiltered, I like the lack of detail and the subtle coloring. The water droplets are, if anything, a bit distracting.

I like the soft look and glow of this flower, Sandy. The center of the flower really has some interesting details which you have captured well. Very delicate feel to this. Nice shot!

Sandy, I think this is very pleasing to look at. The filter kinda of works. I have used this with some of mine too. Sometimes I like it sometimes I don't. I can understand wanting a sharper center because I think there is a lot of detail in there that I want to see. But as you said its an artistic choice.

Oh how I wish we had the magnolias that open up into a saucer or wide like your great presentation here. Like the glamour glow effect... its a good choice for this image. Well done!
