A fern in the woods near Loch Achilty, Scotland.

Slim pick'ens on pics this winter in NH so I though I go back to some of my images from Scotland taken on a Transient Light 1-2-1 with Ian C, that I have not processed yet. Some nice shamrocks too though not in focus, I should have posted this for St. Patrick's Day. I like the DoF and WB here in any case. The fern has a very graceful pose in my mind.

Thanks for having a look.

I agee, Eva. That certainly is a graceful curve, and I am glad you found a lone stem to simplify this composition. Those shamrocks make a nice, clean base for the fern, too. (Just wondering -- do the Scotts call Oxalis shamrocks too, or is that just an Irish name?) How did they pry you away from the beaches over there?

I like the comp and shape in the firm, but could seem burning down the background a bit to let the fern stand out more.

Lovely image Eva, and the repost is nicer in the bg.. My eye keeps catching the spiderweb and spider in the top corner of the fern, and I haven't fully decided if I would prefer it cloned out or not..

Eva, the plainness of your composition shows the fern at its best in my opinion. The second version works even better for me.
