I always enjoy finding these guys...the problem is they don't generally like being in the open. This was a good opportunity last year in the northern region of the Kruger National Park.

Very nice shot. Good combination with nice warm colors. I really the like the cool eye contact.

Cool species captured in nice light w/ good eye contact! Reminds me of how the roadrunners out here will try to warm up on cool mornings by fluffing up their feathers. Nice work!

The light and colors in this one Morkel are really very nice! I also love the red eye and nice head turn. I do wish I could see a larger version though.
