Virginia Bluebells

I've not made it out to shoot wildflowers at all this spring and I'm afraid if I don't get out soon I'll miss the entire season. It's so early this year and so warm it may be summer next week!

I found a patch of Virginia Bluebells in Rogersville TN last weekend and had a few minutes to take some shots. I've cropped this one, fixed the white balance and exposure, then processed with Nik Color Efex 4 to blur and darken the edges without touching the flower with the dew drops.

Color is great
the drops on the petals show just how delicate the flower is .
Maybe a little more blur to give a better separation

Wonderful effect to focus the viewer's attention on the central flower and sparkling drops. I agee with Avi's idea about more blur, especially on flowers just behind the sharp one.

Sweet image. Softness of lines & colors work well, as with the moisture a fine detail.
