This photo was taken in Alpe di Siussi in the Italian Dolomites in late September 2010 in the morning when teh first sun rays hit the mountain.

The camera is Canon 1Ds mkIII and the lens a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS. Post processing was done on a single exposure in Lightroom 4.

This gives the feeling ''I wish I was there''. Excellent landscape. TFS.

Another brilliant shot. The light is amazing. The scene is one that would be difficult to leave.

nice scene. the light on the mountain is glorious. the bottom half looks artificially brightened - too much so to my eye. i'd take it down a stop ...

I love the glow on the mountain. It's a beautiful scene and the clouds add some drama.

Great light here Hans. The scattered light on the mountains is beautiful. Well composed and captured.

Thanks for all the comments. And yes, the light has been adjusted on this picture and the foreground has been lifted. At the time I felt it was as I liked it, however sometimes I come back to an image and change the editing maybe a year later.
