Pheasant

Started out the morning intending to practice more with my macro lens and wildflowers. Chose not to take a telephoto lens along, but did have a 1.4 telextender in the bag. Of course, spotted this male pheasant in a nearby field feeding. Was able to slowly drive down a dirt road until close enough to try a couple of shots using the 1.4 with the macro lens. Tried to find a place where the bird was visible through the tall dead grasses along the road way.

This is at least a 50% crop

Pheasants are normaly timorous birds, You did realy big job with 100mm macro and 1.4TC.

I think it was possible to get rid of the noise on upper side of photo by simple lightroom application.

Thank you for sharing.

The grasses are a distraction, and there's a surprising amount of noise, but a good shot for the gear you had along.
