Late afternoon sun but still had to bump the ISO. The resultant shutter speed was still pretty slow. Luckily, he wasn't moving and the image turned out pretty sharp. Comments and critiques welcome.

Nice portrait and nice color. Wood ducks are always good subjects. I don;t know if it is my eyes, but the image seems just a touch soft.

Great pose from this guy. While parts of the bird are correctly exposured, the darker parts of the plumage are too dark. Such as the top of the head. Not sure if you can pull out any more detail from them. A longer exposure would have really blown out the whites and they are pretty bright already. Nevertheless, the was a good capture from a coopertive bird in full breeding plumage.

Nice catch of this woodie and his colours.
The repost is an improvement. I like the dark water - something besides the typical.
Nice work!
