Landscape in Fog

This photo was taken in Abruzzo, Italy close to the old castle at Rocca Calascio. It was taken during a photo workshop in Abruzzo that I led with a group of photographers. It was a wonderful morning with fog in the valleys and up to about 1000 meters altitude.

It was taken with a Canon 1Ds mkIII and a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS II lens. Post processing was done with Lightroom 4.

Has an apocolyptic feel to it...like a scene from the walking dead.

Love the luminous light of the fog and the wonderful patterns of the fields and trees. An outstanding image.

Fog is a boon to the landscape, so well captured here. To me, it would look better without the strip of black along the top, but that may just be a personal preference.
