Olympus E-5, 300mm x 2.0 TC, tripod
f7.1, 1/1000, ISO200

San Diego River channel, low tide, about 8:30 AM. I'd have liked a lower angle but it wasn't possible. I like the ruffled back feathers.

90% of full frame. Cloned out a small shadow of another bird. Usual sharpening drill.

C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

Nice image with natural color and good detail. I've shot there as well and have always wanted to get lower somehow.

I'll go along with everyone else. A fine image. That long bill is amazing.

Nice shot Jim, I like the contrast and feather colors. There is also good sharpness all through that long beak on the larger image, way to go.
