Bodie Ghost Town, CA

In 2007 along with other Merced Camera Club members
I had the opportunity to photograph inside the Bodie
Ghost Town buildings. It was a wondeful photo experience.
If some of the images that I share appear to be tilted,
in reality many of the floors and ceiling in the buildings
were leaning.

My photo equipment was a Canon 10D body, a 24mm Canon lens,
as well as a Tamron 28-300 lens, and a Bogen tripod.

Thanks for taking time to view the images, and I appreciate
your C&C.

Another Bodie image from a deserted residence.

First image: Love this! Great subdued greens and browns, and a great angle.
My only suggestion might be to lighten up the area behind the door a bit, so the door bottom has some definition.

Second image! Also excellent. Makes me think back to an earlier, harder time.

Really nice! I hope to get over there one day..

Very well done, Robert. I like both. I might consider warming up the second one a bit, as it looks a bit on the cold side for my tastes?

Maybe someday I will get an inside tour of Bodie. It would be a great time.

Great images Robert. I particularly like the first. The light coming in through the open door adds a great dimension to this image. :toast:

Well done, Robert. I'd like to see them a touch darker especially the second shot, add a little mystery/timeless feeling to both. Yea, I know, the tattered trunk and peeling wall paper obviously indicate an "age" factor, but I've always liked the old bw's with their darker tones. :toast:
