Dolomites Autumn Light

The picture was taken late September when preparing for a photo workshop in the Dolomites. The location is at the famous Karersee (Lago di Carezza) with the special green water. The day this was taken there was a combination of light and clouds that only happens from time to time.

The picture was taken using a Canon 1Ds mkIII and a Canon 16-35 f/2.8L II lens. Post processing was done in Adobe Lightroom.

This is incredible! Looks like an amazing place to be, especially with a camera.

The sky looks a bit interesting. Maybe its how dark the blue gets as it goes up. A bit dark?

Thanks everyone for all the comments. I posted a new one from the same place and a wider angle shot. It's from June and therefore looks quite different as it is an afternoon shot and with lots of water in the lake.

I like the colors and the elements in the scene. Contrast maybe seems a bit high, but that's hard to avoid this time of day.
