My personal feeling is that we should have to work HARD for good owl shots.
So you're cheating!! from the car window??
Seriously, this is a terrific shot - tack-sharp, great pose with the elevated foot (is that a little worm for prey?), nice BG and I don't mind the wire at all.
Maybe just a little high in the frame? It would be easy to clone a bit more at the top if needed.
Really nice! :toast:

Short-eared Owls do the Hokey-Pokey? Who knew? The techs are very good. The composition is a touch high in the frame for my taste, especially since the post doesn't have much interesting. Sweet color palette. Excellent use of the opportunity.

Wonderful image Keith. The image is nice and sharp. I like the background and the raised foot.

A wonderful shot! Love the sharpness and detail as well as the unusual pose. Colors and background are great. As has already been said, it looks as if the bird is crouching to stay inside the frame, and would be better placed lower within it.

Very nice owl, pose, setting. I too would prefer the owl a little lower in the frame.

Awesome, love the foot in the air. I'd take a little off the bottom here to make it more rectangular rather than a squarish crop. Sweet shot Keith :toast:

Keith,
This is super sweet. Image is a little high in the frame like others have suggested but I am very envious!!! Sweet. Looks like he's not even paying you any attention at all. :toast: :toast:
