Welcome to the forum Kathy. Nice "look" to this. I wish the right side was a little more open, but a fine shot none-the -less.

Kathy:
I like this tease shot with the partly obscured center. Draws the viewer in to investigate this further. The center looks great with the yellow circle of anthers. A minor nit is the presence of a few pollen grains on the white petals which tends to draw the eyes a little; this can be easily taken care of with the healing brush. You might also like to consider brightening up the right side a little with a gradient??

Nice point of view, Kathy, on a lovely flower, with fine colour tones. I think this would also work well horizontally. Look forward to seeing more from you !

Mission accomplished! I think the comp gives the flower a coquettish appeal that makes it fun. The colors of the center are gorgeous. Wish the ulc had a little fold in it; it's kind of blank up there... And the few specks of pollen, while perfectly natural, intrude on the look you were after.
Welcome aboard. Look forward to more posts and comments. You're off to a great start!
