This is another version of my moon and tree shot from a couple weeks ago. Thank you to all who viewed it and left comments, I really appreciate the feedback. Let me know what you think of this one and perhaps which one you like best. I think I'm liking this night photography stuff, it's kinda fun.

Like this one too, Christina. A guess for the same reasons: dark and foreboding and kind of creepy. I think you first one is more so creepy and scary because of the twisted and broken branches on the tree. This tree isn't as bad although the clouds and moon still provide for the mood. I like what you're doing and loiok to see more.

Hi Christina!

I really love the dark mood here! Eerie. A little ominous.

Maybe a graduated adjustment boost in luminance on the bottom, a little, so the darkness doesn't fall off as much?

Cristina,

This is hauntingly beautiful! Tough call between the two, but I think I'm leaning towards this one. I like the complete tree in this case set against some fantastic clouds AND I love how the gradually go in to motion as you move from bottom to top, or back to front. The moon, well is just icing on the cake. Actually, you know what's missing? A vulture!

Only suggestion is just like with your previous image. I might be inclined to crop some off the bottom and make the space around the tree just about equal all the way around. Plus, it gets pretty dark at the bottom and the trunk is merging with the sky. But a minor thought.

I think you should definitely continue your enjoyment of the night sky!

My initial thought after I posted the original was that the bottom around the trunk was a little too dark, but I was having an issue of orange light from a street lamp illuminating too much of the bark, when I adjusted the exposure. But I figured out a way to lighten up the sky around the tree but keep the darkness of the tree intact.

I like this one much better than your earlier one, the wider shot reveals more, I like the seeing more tree and more of the great clouds. I almost wish there was more space around the tree so it wasn't so tight in the frame. Regardless, it is a great image!

Don't remember the one from a couple weeks back, but this works very nicely. The combination of moving clouds and static moon and silhouette tree is easy to relate to. Good eye for seeing an composing this.

The repost works much better, thanks for taking the time. I didn't notice this one before, and this one is even more minor and nitpicky... you might consider cloning off the end of the branch on the left that merges with the edge of the frame. Perhaps picky, but when I see an image that really engages me I want to make it the best that it can be. So that's why I get nitpicky. But really, a minor point. Thanks for posting.

Love your repost Christina especially the spooky mood the moving clouds and moonlight create.

I like this a lot Cristina! Moody, dark, and somber (my wife would say I've just described myself ;)

Great shot!
