Excellent, Bill. The entire presentation is superb right down to the border color and copyright placement. I like the well balanced comp which features the large front facing blossom on the left, and the two buds and rear flowers going to the back and rear. Very nice work.

It looks like you've managed to tame these orchids Bill - something I've never managed to do with any of this species. Maybe that's the high key but I think it's mostly the control and balance in your composition. Beautiful work.

Bill, I like the leading lines and how it draws me into the image and keeps me there. Beautiful work.

Bill.........very nice. I've found composition is the most difficult aspect of photographing orchids. True for any flower I suppose but especially orchids. I think that the buds are not quite pristine adds a strong sense of realism to what is an otherwise very artistic expression. Well done.

Another lovely orchid shot! I like the emphasis on the front bloom with the eye flow to the lip on the right. My wife and I are heading to the annual Orchid show at the US Botanical Gardens later today. I can't take my tripod, so the likelihood of good pictures is small, but they always have a very wide variety of spectacular blooms.

The colours in this are just so good, Bill - especially the greens and yellows of the buds. Lovely image !

Bill:
This is beautiful. The lighting and the highkey presentation works really well. We bought a similar orchid last weekend but had not had time to photograph them yet. Your orchid images have given my many ideas.

This is really great, Bill. I am very much enjoying all of your orchid images. Thanks for the treat! You inspire me to get out and practice with, what for me, is a difficult subject to master. I note the technicals and probably will try shooting with much more dof than usual.

Splendid Bill! Flowers flying in the light; all is light; even the pastel colors. I love this image.
Cheers.
