I am running out of recent images :frown:

Thought i would dig out a wolf pic from the summer of 2010. I am not well versed at portraits, so any help is greatly appreciated. This is a personal favorite  Shot with a rented 300f4.

Grey Wolf, Denali Natl Park, Alaska
Nikon D5000, 300mm, f4.5, 1/640, iso 400
Close to full frame, a tiny bit of room left on the top, right and left.

Wow. Beautiful portrait of this grey wolf. What an experiencxe this must have been. Love the intent look and the clear view of the eye. Only minor nit would be the curved grass at the left edge. But that is minor. Great shot as is.

Very fine wolf portrait! Also, like the BG it looks like Alaska w/o being told. Must have been an exciting moment. Thanks for sharing.

Nice job of presenting this wolf against the rich colors and blurred background, lending a pleasing artistic mood to the capture. I think you have framed pretty well for a horizontal portrait. Of course a vertical presentation would work very well in this situation, with a different end feeling.

This is really nice! Maybe a bit more of the shoulders & back included or a vertical perhaps?

Nicely done Anand! I love the composition and the DOF on this one. Hard to get this close to wolves most of the time so well done here. I really, really do like how you've framed this one.
