Reddish Egret
by Bill Leggett
From yesterday morning at Ft Desoto in Tampa Bay. The light was marginal to impossible (fog) for most of the time, but by 9 the fog lifted and this resident reddish put on a show for us. I thought the wavelets in the BG made for an interesting backdrop, and I liked the simple composition. Cropped to 68% of original. Larger image included.

12 commentsI too like the wavelets and the composition is simple yet just about perfect. Can't think of a way to make it better. I like the light hitting the head but not the body and you have a perfect head turn. Beautiful breeding plumage as well. Way to go Bill. Superb!
