Another one of my ice imaginings. I think this looks like a duck that got stuck between the rocks.

Canon Rebel T1i. 90mm macro lens. F/11 for 1/8 sec. ISO 100.

Excellent abstract. I like the contrast of the cold ice and warmer rock. Good composition.

Carolyn,

I think your ice abstracts may replace traditional Rorschach pictures. Like Gary, I see a fish instead of a duck. Hmmm...I wonder what that means about me (and Gary).

Congrats on your well deserved selection to the staff, but this is gives me one less regular candidate a week for the macro WP. :frown:

Gary & Scott: For the life of me, I cannot see the jumping fish! I'm stuck on the duck. HaHa. . . It does seem to be like one of the Rorschach pictures where diffferent people see different things. You may have to give me some hints!

Another great shot of the "zoo in the ice" series, Carolyn- I clearly see on it a lazy hadrosaur ( I mean the one with a crest)- My congrats for the image and for your new job at NPN, Fabio

Carolyn, the fish is angled with its head looking left, its eye being the circle just left of center, its mouth to the left and below the eye, its gill being the wide semi circular line to the right of the eye, and its tail angling down and to the right, ending in the LRC. It looks a little like it swam into a wall of ice. :wavey:

Ok all you fish people! I think I finally see the fish. . . but I think I'll still stick with my stuck duck as what I feel is the dominate image. I do have a few more of these wacky ice images that I will post in the future.
