I've been trying all winter to get a decent close-up of one of these Euasian Teals ever since they moved into the river near where I live and work in Seoul, Korea. This is a male Eurasian Teal in nuptial plumage.

Canon EOS 60D
Lens: Sigma DG 120-400mm 1:4.5-5.6 APO OS HSM
Focal Length: 400mm
f 6.3
Shutter 1/1000
ISO 640
Monopod

Cropped about 70%

Comments and constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.

Fine detail on the duck, if a bit dark, especially the head. My guess is a slight plus EV would have gotten you more detail in the dark feathers of the head without going out of gamut on the white. The image seems to have a small CCW tilt, about 2 degrees.

A lovely bird and I know you will be glad to spend more time photographing them. Patience does pay off. Nice colors and good head turn. I think you could get away with a slightly tighter crop. Maybe some of the shore could go as it's less photogenic than the bird.
