Sunrise light at Tulum, Mexico, February 2012.

It doesn't get much better than sitting in the Caribbean sand and watching a sunrise like this one! This is from the same area as my previous photo titled Mar de Sueños Check that one out as well if you have a moment.

Nikon D7000, 10-24 Nikkor dx at 10mm, polarizer
2 exposure hand blend for dynamic range, 2 sec and 1 sec at f/16, ISO 100

Thanks for any C&C. Please view large.

Fantastic scene, nice foreground elements and contrast of colors. The reds in the sky look overexposed on my monitor, my only suggestion would be to tone down the area where the sun is rising a bit because my eyes keep going back to that particular spot.

Beautiful colors Scott. Nice contrasting foreground rocks that carry through the image. The sky is very dramatic adding to the overall greatness of the image.

Scott, your image has great impact on me. The clear cut formation of the clouds surrounding the sun, counteracted by the blurred water and the delicate pattern of the receeding waves make for an exceptional composition to me. There is a lot of dynamics, well anchored by the foreground rocks. I also appreciate the stunning interplay of the natural colors.

Fantastic sky Scott, looks like a storm brewing. I like the colours throughout and your comp with the evenly spaced foreground rocks.

I could do with a little Caribbean break myself.

Gary.

The colors throughout and the composition are great. I especially like all of the detail in the clouds. I do agree with Peter that the area near the sun seems a bit hot.

Poster-perfect! Water motion and colors invite the viewer to feel the sand and wet ocean. Filled with strong contrasts from the sun drenched center to darker rt foreground boulder. Rule of thirds is working well. Nice moment.

Absolutely beautiful, Scott. I like the stunning color and clarity here. I like how you have balanced the motion and detail in the water as well. From an emotional perspective this really draws me into the scene and makes me want to be there. This would look stunning in a large print.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the cloudscape...the detail is incredible. I might saturate the aqua green hues in the water just a touch...but that's just a matter of personal taste. Composition is spot on. Well done.
