I always like risk-taking for flora comps! This is bold! Besides the obvious green strip...which is way cool...I like the white sheen showcasing the curves and contours. A lot of empty space on the rt. But, I am OK with that...except the size of the black border...which seems to push it too much. I would opt for a narrow black pinstripe frame only... and to clone out that little thumb thingy in the vase ..far left side. Your white b/g is flawless...making the flower pounce on the viewer. Nice...

Hey Ken I don't really like boarders so just pick a hex one from the site , so posted again as I had originally with all white .I know many will comment on the no border but oh well this is the way I like it with a clean white non definable space. Sa la vie !!

Very interesting and artistic image. I like the way the flower really pops out from the background.

Simple but elegant comp against the white BG. Excellent subject detail as well. Nicely done, Lorna.

Lorna: Of course I'm going to gripe about no border even after reading your comment. I'm just being a curmudgeon. You get to do that at my age . Great subject and comp. I especially like the color. On my laptop if I move the screen angle I can see a lot of inconsistency in the BG that you might want to clean up if you plan to print. Top notch capture. >=))>

Lorna, My monitor is obviously not as good as Bill's - I cannot see the wrinkles, Bill speaks of. Like this shot loads - Lovely diagonal movement for the Calla is excellent with the Green strip providing another area of interest.
