Black-capped Tanager
by Nate Chappell
Here's a shot from our most recent tour in Ecuador. We had 11 different species of tanagers up close coming in to the banana feeders one morning at the lodge in Mindo. I was especially pleased to get some nice photos of this species as it was my first quality images of it. This was a setup perch held by a flash stand with a banana impaled on the end of the perch. It's about 75% of FF.
