Never give up

by Abdullaziz Bin Ali

Gallery: LandscapePosted February 12, 20121,007 views18 comments
I spent almost the whole day scouting for new unique subject for the desert I live close to. This is from Al-Fayah and the mountain in the back belongs to Al-Bedayer
The hardest thing was when I tend to merge the images together where I had to take two shoots each of them consists of 5 exposures, Eh, it was really hard to get this balanced exposure with muli focuses

As usual, Your comments to improve this work

How are there possibly no comments on this?!

Unreal detail and light. The peaks in the distance are almost haunting. I love everything about this.

I really like the leading lines, they really draw the eye into the image. The colors are very nice and it has great depth. The only nit I might have is the center in the back might be just a touch bright. Very fine image.

Abdullaziz: Spectacular light and subject. I actually like this better with most all of the sky cropped out to just include the top of the BG mountain. Really well seen and superbly presented. >=))>

Great light. This image has a feel which I really like, sort of ominous and otherworldly. It's honestly hard to put it into words, but just know that I like it.

I like this comp and there is some really nice light. I might like to see a bit more contrast to bring out some of the shapes a bit more but very nice as is.

Beautiful work, Abdullaziz. One thing I might suggest is to tone down the highlights on the farthest dunes, they seem a bit to bright. Other than that I'm really diggin' this. Well done. :toast:

This is great! Beautiful light and a compelling comp. The BG mountain/dune is perfectly place to pull the eye all the way through. I would consider introducing more blue to the sky, I think it would be a powerful compliment to the reddish dunes.

Stunning work,

Shane

Awesome, the processing is surreal yet tastefully done. Maybe a the sky a little truer blue?

You did a great job processing and just finding the location. 6 months ago I wouldn't have had a clue how to process for this, thankfully I now have a far better understanding so I can fully appreciate this. I must say it's nice to see images from a much lesser known location. This site does seem to be populated highly by American landscapes, not bad thing but it's not the only country on earth.
