Water lily

Water lilies can look so stunning floating on water with their striking colors and the lily pads all around. This was taken in fairly bright sunlight but I sort of liked the sunny feel the bright light gave to the photo. What do you think? Taken several years ago.

Panasonic DMC-FZ28. 86mm at F/8 for 1/500 sec. ISO 100.

I think this is simply stunning. I love the scallop of ripples around the upper pad. Beautiful colors, too

I like it alot.you pretty much have to water lilies in full sun or they will have closed up. Love the colours and scalloped edge around the pad.

Good shot. Nice comp. The strong lighting is fine in this instance. :toast:

Carolyn:
Nice. Like the placement of the bloom in the frame and the petals fanning out. Colors and saturation are good even in bright sun. The scallop reflection of the sky is very interesting.

The bright light emphasizes the colors and this picture seems to be all about colors. The lily is great, but I especially like the reflections below the rim of the upper pad. Those are a great addition.

Carolyn: One of my favorite varieties. I like your POV and the inclusion of the pad in the LUC. Since these guys don't open until the sun hits them bright light has to be part of the equation and I think you did great. Well done.>=))>
