I came across this little scene a couple weeks ago, one very cold morning here in Seoul while I was hiking a mountain path looking for birds and other wildlife to photograph.

Canon EOS 60D
Lens:Sigma DG 120-400mm 1:4.5-5.6 APO OS HSM
Focal Length: 214mm
f9.0
Shutter 1/640
ISO400
HH
Cropped a little off the sides and bottom...about 10%

Comments and constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.

I like the colors a lot here, Mark, and the lighting on that sap is really beautiful. I wish that those out of focus twigs and needles weren't in the background, though, as they draw my eyes slightly.
Good capture,
Jaymes

Great eye to spot these intersting tiny details, Mark. I like the sunstar in the larger drop and the spider webs (best seen in the larger version). I think I would have tried to clone out the lower branch if possible so they wouldn't distract from the drops.

Good eye to see and capture the sunstar in the sap. I agree with the previous comments about the OOF twigs. However, you did well to isolate the drop and sunstar against a clean BG, particularly considering your non macro equipment.
