Ribs at Sunset

I haven't been very active on here lately but hopefully that will change. We recently moved to Phoenix so hopefully I will be able to get out more often and explore the area.

This was taken a few miles from my house at sunset. I have been to this area a few times recently but never came away with a shot that spoke to me. I decided to add a 10 Stop ND filter during sunset to capture something a bit different, for me anyway.

The title is a work in progress, any suggestions appreciated.

I really like this comp and the long exposure adds drama to the scene. Well done.

Interesting comp, made more dramatic by the long exposure cloud motion as wll as the strong back/side light.
If it helps any with the title, that cloud motion gives me the impression that strong winds blew down the old cactus.

Very nice but the sunset is too blown out. This is a situation where a bit of HDR (maybe a bad word/acronym with some here) would be a good thing. Used judiciously it would have a round sun instead of the blown out band that extends out the edge of the photo. It could also add a touch more detail in the shadow area at the bottom right. Interesting subject. I've seen photos of cactus skeletons before but never one of the skeleton breaking into ribs like that.

Long time no see Martin.

Great light Martin. The cloud movement and subject matter have a lot going for them. Not sure if the comp works for me though, the old fallen cactus is a little busy and while interesting takes away the light and drama on the other two cactus. Maybe a separate image with just some dead cactus detail?
