Enveloping My Heart

Another fun distraction when it is too cold/hot outside and not that many other nature opportunities around. This is a water drop collision.....actually 2 collisions in one frame that formed this. If you go to my blog link below, you can read more about it. Canon 1D Mark lll and the Sigma 180mm macro and 3 strobes at f/14 for 1.5 sec. (doesn't matter really) and ISO 800. It is fun and addictive.....the sky is the limit!

I guess the heart formed naturally? Cool! I thought it was a shaped-bokeh effect from the lens. Terrific shot and colors Roman... really neat.

At first I thought the heart was added in, until I read you blog post: a very interesting phenomenon, indeed. There's lots of interesting physics happening here. It's a nice image!

I've always been fascinated by these raindrop photos. This is a really interesting and wonderful shot, Roman! Love the colors and the heart design. I also admire the skill and perservance needed to get this kind of shot.
