Very cool shot! That's great you were able to catch the goose without anyone obscuring him! I am wondering about two things: can any detail be recovered on the birds head & back (it seems a bit blown out) and secondly, is the horizon line off a little?

Thanks Eirini, I'll take another look at the highlight. I intentionally kept the horizon tilted to make the picture look more dynamic.

Wow, that is just spectacular John! The inclusion of the goose puts this over the top! Excellent work!

Thanks Mario, Brad, Ken, Patrick.

Brad: I have made the same mistake so many time, keep forgetting wildlife is for wildlife that don't fly. Thanks for fixing it.

Now that is a very fun shot. How often would you be able to get this combination - never.

THis would have been fabulous without the goose! With it, you've gotten something special here!
I'm not sure how the tilted horizon makes it more dynamic??? Love the bg. Sharon

Thanks, Roger, May, Sharon.

May: You are right. I kept my eyes on these birds for over an hour. Took about a hundred pictures. This is the only clear shot. Not only to find a clear shot, the camera has a hard time to find focus in this situation too.

One of the most unique Bosque shots I've seen, John.
The whites do seem just slightly hot to me, but not by much.
Cool Shot.

John,
That's one of the coolest shots I've ever seen. Love the background, all the colors, and the light is exceptional. Terrific image in every way. It's an absolute wall hanger. :toast:
