Saw this stunning sunrise unfold through a window, so I quickly packed my gear and traveled to a nearby lake. Once there I had less than 2 minutes get off some shots before it was gone. What a great way to start a Saturday.

Terrific sky colors and textures. For me, one of many challenges in photography is how to translate an amazing sky like this into a complete image. In this case the water and treeline seem much more static than the sky and that's where I have a hard time finding a foreground that provides the same kine of attraction that the sky does. Does indeed look like a wonderful way to start a day.
