Rough-legged Hawk

I thought I'd share another of a rough-legged hawk, this one from Sunday afternoon as it spotted something on the ground and left its perch with a very intent focus. Hope you enjoy viewing, and thanks for your comments.

Intense look indeed! I like the full down wing position and great sharpness on the eyes. Nicely captured.

Very nice flight posture enhanced by the apparent intensity of purpose in the eyes coming at us like this. Sharpness looks good and I like that we can see the one foot under the belly. The narrow sharpening halo does catch my eye.

Great flight position on this bird John. Nice light and detail on the bird. Love the face and eyes on this shot. Well done.

love it, John. the angle of approach is super, as is the wing position. comp is just right for me, and the bird is very sharp. really a fine looking shot.
