Headwaters--Anniversary

A year ago, I chose one of my "Headwaters" images as my first post in NPN. Seems only fitting that my last post of the year should be one of the "Headwaters". My thanks to all of you who have commented on these images (and others) over the past year. Your suggestions and observations have been incredibly useful. I like to think I've grown a lot in my photography skills this year and the credit goes to you all.
My Headwaters images have always been about current and color, the frozen second of time and it's fleeting beauty. I hope this one embodies that. Thanks again for all your help this year. Nancy Lea

I especially like the mix of sharp areas and edges and the softness created by the watrer movement.

I really like the bright ripples in the water and their superposition on the colored rocks. It's a very colorful abstract. I also think this would be a good shot to combine four flipped and slid versions together into one large abstract.

I've always enjoyed this series, and this is no exception. I might try cropping a little off theleft side, I find the larger mass of orangish color to be somewhat eye-catching and distracting, but the rest is a real beauty.

Nicely done abstract. I would second Bill's suggestion for the crop. I am really enjoying the colors and patterns.

I think I agree about the crop from the left, but this is a beautiful, clear, sharp image, with gorgeous colors and light.
