Belchenfluh(2nd Version)

Here's another version from the same morning at "Belchenfluh" as my previous posted image (about two weeks ago) from there. The sun here is a bit less dominant. I'm not sure which one is stronger. Somehow i love the other one more. But I wanted to post it here and see what you say.

Techs: Nikon D700, 16-35 lens (@22mm), ISO 400, 1/20sec, f16, polarizer

The fog is a nice backdrop to the amazing texture in the foreground. The color palette is really nice in this image. Thanks for sharing it.

This is also nice, butI prefer the other one with the strong colors and the sun.

I like this one better. Despite the warm colors it has an appealing sense of desolation.

Great colors and detail. The cutoff bush on the left is throwing me off a touch, but otherwise real nice.

Nice capture, perfect for a vertical image. My eyes follow the ridge all the way threw the scene. Great job.

This is beautiful, Bill. I prefer the quiet mood of this one compared to the bold color of the previous version. I think you could even warm the colors up a touch in this one, perhaps just the red/orange of the sky color over the whole image. Would also try burning down the brighter fg rocks a touch to even them out.

Gorgeous misty light Bill, nice detail in the rock too. Reminds me a bit of some crumbling castle walls.

Gary.

The subject doesn't exactly intrigue me, but the light sure does. The comp is perfect with the rock pointing at the sun.
