I've just returned from several days at Bosque del Apache, where I enjoyed many great opportunities. I haven't had time to look at more than a handful of the files, but here's a Snow Goose coming in for a landing.

I appreciate your critiques and comments. Please view the larger version if possible.

f/6.3, 1/3200, ISO 320

Canon 7D, 500mm + 1.4x TC, tripod

Crop to 77% of original (13.8 of 18MP), exposure and contrast adjustments, sharpening.

Excellent, Brian. I like the fact that the bird is so sharp from end to end. The light is very good too. :toast:

A fine image. Super sharp, excellent exposure on the whites with loads of detail there, great landing posture, very nice background and composition. This was executed flawlessly IMO.

A super comp Brian. One of your very best IMO. Great exposure and DOF. The small crop really shows with all the detail available in the larger version. The BG could not be better. Don't see how this could have been better. Very well done.

What strikes me initially is the wonderful detail between the wing primaries and secondaries, and then the excellent exposure you managed. Excellent BIF capture Brian.

Just now seeing this one, very nice landing pose and complimentary darker background to display the snow goose. Excellent job on exposure and handling the whites as I see very good feather detail on the entire goose in the larger image, well done Brian, just about as good as it gets.
