Love the title - the fish is almost the size of the little grebe!
Nice pose, great prey, and I really like the water ripples, colour, and fading to the horizon.

A little noisy but otherwise a pleasing image of this cute bird with such a big catch.

I like the lighting, and of course, the subject. Nice pose. I too wish the noise was a little less. This photo seems like it could be improved with a little N/R.

Great subject; nice light and colors. I like the intimate feel of this.
There's definitely more noise here than there should be at ISO 400. Possible reasons include: excessive cropping; excessive exposure increase in raw conversion; applying sharpening to entire image including water in background.

Very good capture. Makes my throat hurt just thinking about swallowing that stickleback. Nice light and head turn; nicely sharp. I agree with the others about the noise.

Nice pinfish breakfast for this grebe Scott. The noise in the BG and FG water is noticable. Might run some NR on those areas.

I like the fish and the light on the grebes face. Agree that the noise is an issue.

Now that's a big fish for a little bird. Nice catch.

Great catch for bird and photographer, lovely head turn too. I'd be tempted to apply selective noise reduction to background.
