After all these raptors, I thought a peaceful duck might be nice.

Beautiful light and reflection, you got nice exposure for the bill and the whites also. I just would have liked to have seen it either a bit lower in the frame, it is just a bit too centered for my taste.

The colors and exposure are right on and yield excellent detaill in this handsome male. To me it looks like the most delicate of kisses to the water that hasn't even caused a ripple. I think playing some with the centering might help but the basic image is great.

sweet shot, Skip. nice light, detail, reflection. I think the idea of placing the bird a little lower is good. as far as it being too centered left to right, I think that it is ok--pintails are so difficult to compose, with that long thin tail, it seems like they always feel a little too far forward in the frame.

Nice detail and exposure. Love the glass-smooth water and enjoy the reflection. I'm seeing a bit of a halo around the duck.

Nice detail and a great reflection Harry. I like the bill just touching on the water surface.

Beautifully clear, very rich colors, really nice light. I don't disagree with the thought of playing around with the composition, especially since it would be so easy to add canvas to this one. Very peaceful image.

The perfectly smooth water makes this very attractive for me Skip. Exposure is nice. In the larger image the fine detail is lacking just a bit, maybe from a largish crop. However, still a very nice shot of one of my fav ducks.

Great oil painting Harry! The water is never this calm. You have captured a very evocative photo and I feel as if he is looking right at me.

Nice shot Harry, I especially like the glassy look of the water & the birds sharp reflection.
Maybe some off the bottom?
Well done

Very nice pintail shot Harry, these are not easy ducks to get and I am still looking for my first decent shot, good job of handling the whites and the reflection with the beak just touching the water is a nice touch, good job in getting this, way to go.

Great shot. Like everyone else I love the reflection and everything else about it. Personally I usually like low angles for this type of shot but in this case a low angle might have caused you to lose some of the reflection.
