Willet in the Sun

Early last Sunday morning in Gulfport conditions were quite nice, with low tide and calm, sunny conditions. This is one of a pair that had been nearby against the sun, then walked into the more favorable side of the light. I normally shoot with the EC-20 or EC-14, but this pair had approached fairly close, so I shot without extenders. This is full frame with the sun directly behind me. larger image included.

Bill, great light, I love the leg position and rings in the water. Well done.

Looks like you had some wonderful light as the larger image displays some very nice detail, nice job in getting this full frame shot, way to go.

A classic pose, good detail. A little centered, top to bottom, for my taste.

Some great light Bill. Nice exposure too. I might be tempted to make a horz. comp out of this by cropping up from the bottom to just under the reflection and then down from the top a bit. It would give a much better look at all the detail in the bird and remove the dead space. Just my taste talking.

Excelent light and pose! I think a bit off the bottom work work best for me just to take it off center a touch.

Very nice light and I like the bent leg pose, the clean BG and the reflection. Nice job.

Good job getting this FF and without the tc. Corresponding detail and sharpness look very good. Nice light also.
