The second of the two posts I'll make from my flowers that I bought to work with inside. Is this pretty, or just pretty weird? ;) I especially like the petals coming out of the center, the way that looks.

Why does some of the white look peach? It was that way in all the images, some more so than others. Is there something I can do at the time of shooting or at the time of processing to be sure it stays white or goes back to being white?

Comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Barbara: I like your comp and DOF/POF choice. Great subject as well. The color caste is most likely a white balance issue and can be tamed in a number of ways. If you're shooting RAW you can adjust the WB in ACR to taste. If you already have the image in Photoshop you can choose Levels or Curves, choose the white point dropper and then click on a spot on the image that should be pure white. You do have to be a little careful when doing this since if there are any whiter spots on the image they will be blown out to 255/255/255 with no detail. >=))>

It is pretty and definately not weird. I was going to suggest a couple fixes for the WB, but I see Bill has already done so. His is good advice. :toast:

Love it!
perfect DOF, imo, great perspective, and splendid colours.
It would be interesting to see a version with the focus point at the back edge of the green, too.
What Bill said, too (of course) about the peachy cast :-)
