Traigh Mhor, Isle of Harris, Scotland

I haven't posted an abstract in a while so here is one of wave spray back lit by the setting sun on Traigh Mhor, Isle of Harris, Scotland. Taken on a Transient Light Workshop back in September.

Still waiting for some cold weather here in New England so I can get some ice abstracts on the pond behind our place. I see some nice bubbles out there but the ice is still to thin to walk on.

Thanks for having a look. Not sure this will work for everyone or anyone, so consider it an experiment. I am a scientist after all.

I tried some thin ice here today...still a little to thin.. Beautiful light Eva. I like the long exposure with the waves and backlit light. This makes for a very interesting scene, and a wonderful abstract. Nice work!

Perfect title Eva. Love the 50/50 diagonal symmetry and beautiful golden color.

A very nice abstract with granular sparkle from the golden sand, liquid sparkle from the water I like the shutter speed choice. You do have an enormous octagonal flare spot on the sand which is so large that you almost don't notice it at first but it might be worth trying to blend it away with the surrounding sand so that the shape of the iris blades isn't apparent. I like the image very much so I think it is worth a try.

Very cool, Eva. It almost looks like a double exposure.

Here is an attempt to clean up the flare. Don't know how I missed the benzene ring. Still needs a little more work I think. I used the sponge tool to desaturate the flare followed by a few more steps (lasso, copy, paste) and then blended the layers. Needed to apply some burn and dodge too since the right side of the of the flare was persistent. Thanks Ian.

Thanks all for your comments and input. Appreciate that.

Eva,

This is just wonderful! Delightfully spirited comes to mind; the whispy, dancing light and golden color are making for a wonderful abstract. No nits or suggestions here. Just a wonderful image.
