Wonderful shot! I love the shallow depth of field, and the colors are beautiful, those reds in the background are really nice...great detail, also!

Nice shot- Excellent DOF choice, fine detail on head and a pleasant BG- I'd try to keep all the end of the left wing within the frame, if it's possible- Very well done, Fabio

Excellent capture, Hali. Superb detail where it matters, nice pose, and a very good BG. Your exposure is perfect for the black features of the BF. The black facial features, wings, and makes this BF look menacing, but the face covered with pollen makes him a little comical. The facial features are really well captured. My only nit, as previously noted by Fabio, is the clipped wing. I'd also try to darken the flower bud, if possible, as the bright areas are a little distracting.

Very cool shot Hali. I'm envious of you who get these great shots of insects. Try as I may I'm just too slow on the trigger. Anyway I love what you've captured here. the bug seems to be eyeing you threateningly. Colors look great but I might like the wingtip in the LRC to be fully in the frame.

Hali, this is too funny with the pollen all over the BF's face! I too wish to see the rest of the wing in the LRC, not sure if it was possible or not though. Thanks for sharing this!
