So cool, that eye is something else. Beautiful shot, and I'm glad you have your lens back! I always feel lost if my equipment is in the shop!

I can see why you missed not having this lens Cheryl, excellent detail shown well in the larger image. Terry has it right about the eye, something else indeed. :toast:

Love the detail, the rings in the water, and that wonderful, bright eye!
Glad your lens is back too - if it's giving you shots like this!
Merry Christmas!

Good low perspective with nice feather detail in the larger version. I also like eye contact and water drops and good job with the black and white colors, well done.

Cheryl, Another winner. Wish I could get the eye on these fellows as well exposed and sharp as you. Like the low POV.

The eye on this species is just spectacular. Nice and sharp with good light. Nice water drops that add to the image IMO.

Gratz on getting the lens back -- the grebe looks good -- I like the low angle and the water drops indicate a recent dive from this grebe -- nice shot to test the lens -- looks great

Nice & sharp from beak to tail, wish I had a shot of a grebe this fine
All the tech stuff looks right on the money Cheryl.
I see a tiny sensor spot in the LP ya missed behind the head, how's that for a nit-pick
Very well done & Merry Christmas my friend :wavey:

I like the low angle and the turn of the head. The water rolling off the back is wonderful, really nice capture.

Cheryl,
Great detail in that eye. Nice low angle as is your usual practice. Love the drops of water on the back and the slight head turn towards you. That lens and extender combo is really working nicely for you. Terrific image. May you be blessed with exceptional light in 2012....and Merry Christmas to you and your family Cheryl.
