Great leading lines in this shot leading to the pine tree. I like your comp for this and the mixture of colors and textures. However, the lighting feels a little harsh to me and the sky overly dark.

The perspective here is superb, Bill - it produces a very evocative image. I might echo Carolyn's comments about the high contrast, but I guess that is what you were aiming for.
