Fluffed Raven
by Brian Gatlin
Here's another of the same Common Raven from a couple days ago. I like the fluffed pose, snow on the bill, and setting here. I wish there was more detail in the median and lesser coverts--something happened with the angle of light that made them go flat here.
This is such a wonderful species that I too often take for granted because they are a constant presence here. I always mean to get out and shoot them and never do, even though I enjoy their antics almost every day. So I'm glad that I have gotten some images lately. It's also been fun to get out the 100-400 for these guys, which has not seen a lot of use since I bought my 500mm.
I appreciate your critiques and comments. Please view the larger version if possible.
