Sweet desperation
by Dorin Bofan
Cuejdel Lake is the largest natural dam lake (formed by succesive landslides) in my country. It's quite close to my hometown and a few weeks ago, while spending some time with my parents, I had the privilege to visit it for the first time. Wish I had done this sooner. It's a fantastic location with great potential. Although it was my first visit, I studied the maps and images made here and had a few ideas on how to approach it. This is one of them. I really believe in understanding and knowing a place before you photograph it and this images really contradicts my belief. I guess it all comes down to a little bit of luck and inspiration sometimes.

Simply captivating. Can't say I've seen anything like this one. Sure, there's always an amount of luck and timing... the key is knowing what to do an even recognizing the moment! Unique and beautiful.

This one hits right at home for me. I could look at it for hours. So subtle and delicate, yet extremely evocative. Great job.
