Red-shouldered hawk. Sugar Land, TX December, 2011

D3 ISO 200. 500/4 with 1.4 x tc. f5.6 1/500s -0.3 ev. From car window. "Poo cleaning" on the sign. (Apparently this is a popular perch given the evidence left behind.)

I wish he was pointed a bit more toward me, but alas, he was not.

A fun image - the sign works well with this hawk. Excellent image quality, as usual.

I really like this Angela... a fun image with the inclusion of the sign, and the pose of the hawk adds to the word shown. ;-) Hope to see more!

I love the clarity and detail of the fluffed-out feathers.

Nice detail and DOF on the hawk and I like seeing this grooming behavior - not easy to catch the eye open at this point in the process. Colors look good and I like the background. I agree that the sign makes this a fun image.

Wonderful detail, if the hawk is going to pick a man made perch then this is an excellent choice!

Cool shot Angela. Excellent feather detail and nice preening pose. The "Danger" Sign puts it over the top.
