Love the water colours and pose with the ruffled feathers.
May need a bit of CCW rotation to level the water lines - hard to tell.
Nice!

Yes, Cheryl, and lesser scaup. I too like the water color and preening pose. It seems the noise reduction has caused a mottling affect on the BG. I have seen this happen to my images when I have used too much NR. Backing off on the NR always remedied the problem. Thus, I might reprocess this with a bit less NR to see if that clears up.

Thanks Ron. Here I re processed with less nr and a tighter crop. I was having trouble with my lens here , it is now in the shop with a focus ring problem I think it has affected the images this day. Darn

I like the repost -- my last lens repair took 3 months - I hope you have better luck. Good detail in the black head feathers

Cheryl, I love these types of poses. This one tells me that the Scaup wants to be left alone and he is giving you "The Look". Great low POV and as usual your techs and composition are great.

I love the colors and pose of the bird. I like the "slit" yellow eye and you have a nice low angle. The larger image is lacking some detail that is usually present in your images.
