Dead End

Light rain, 5°C. The overgrown rocks are slippery and demand my full concentration during walking. But I don't have much time bevor the night closes in and I want to reach the end of the valley by all means. I miss my hiking boots with the good sole, instead I waer my gumboots. 1000 feet high rock walls end the deep valley. I am overwhelmed by the impressive view and overcome by a feeling of nothingness.

I like the swirling feeling in both the water and the moss that leads my eyes to the base of the waterfall. Looks like a wonderful spot.

Excellent shot. I like the composition and the processing looks very natural. Such an interesting location . . . I don't know if I've ever seen anything quite like it.

This is insanely gorgeous. I love that the greens aren't oversaturated, which seems to be a common problem on here these days. They're vibrant but not too much. Fantastic composition of a lovely location. Well worth the effort.

Another very nice one of yours, although not amongst my favorites. The moss/rock variations in the right side are just too busy for my eyes, but I understand that this is a very subjective problem.

Rainer,

I think this is a fantastic landscape image. Not only is this a solid and engaging composition, but what really engages me is how the greens/mosses are repeated throughout the depths of the landscape. I just find it fascinating. Usually the greens are relegated to common areas around streams or relative to elevation and such, but I really like how the entire landscape is tied together by the greens. The waterfall and the stream create a nice flow to the composition. This is somewhat unique and refreshing and I really like it.

Love the composition and how the river and waterfall appear to be disappearing into a huge chasm. The pattern of the moss and rock is superb. Fantastic.
