Iris & Raindrops #1 rpt
by Mark Seaver
In response to Bill's request for repeat images, here's a reprocessed shot of a "red" iris taken on one of the many rainy weekend days that we had last spring. I've applied what I've learned about processing since then and hopefully, this is a better result. It certainly needed much less processing following some adjustments in ACR/LR. Final processing used only TK's triple play on the light lights and a midtone contrast adjustment in PS5 rather than the 8 steps in previous post. This version is distinctly lighter and the colors less muted. (5D, 100mm macro, 1/10 s, f/32, tripod and cable release)

8 commentsThe processing certainly looks good. I like how the center of the flower is brighter. Sometimes we get carried over with processing and do more that required and I am guilty of that often. Less is more in some cases.
Coming back to the image, the only minor nit is the dark blue triangle in the LLC - would be great if this was the same color as the rest of the flower.
